Anbu hails from Coimbatore. He earned his bachelor and master degrees in engineering at GCT. After a few years stint in Bangalore, he moved to Bangkok before migrating to USA in 1996. His fourteen years in Chicago had introduced him several life changes including his marriage, twin kids’ birth, and an MBA at Northern Illinois University. He moved to Austin area in 2010 to be closer to his family. His passion for community service and Tamil language/culture have naturally landed him to serving the Tamil community in the Austin area through Austin Tamil Sangam and Austin Tamil School.





Bala is a Technical Program Manager at TCS, with a broad set of experiences of over 14 years, spanning across multiple domains. Having served on the board of the PMI Austin chapter as VP of education for 2 terms, Bala brings with him a wealth of leadership and Project Management experience. This experience from a professional volunteer organization, combined with the additional skill sets of rest of the board members, is being effectively leveraged to scale ATS to greater heights. Bala also has a strong passion for music and gardening, and can occasionally be found singing at some of the ATS events. Bala is very excited to be serving on the ATS board, and is looking forward playing a part in bringing more quality programs for the growing Tamil community, and building a strong platform for future generations.



Suganthi was born & brought up in a small village near Pollachi. She moved to Austin more than 5 years ago. She is passionate about Tamil literature and passing it along to the next generation. Other than her work and family, she is also interested in reading Tamil books,cooking & gardening.
